The sad thing is this could happen to a lot of dark skin women. When a woman doesn't believe that she is beautiful and worthy of a good relationship, she will accept abusive men into her life. Then there is the fact that the abuser will say things like 

"No one will love you"

"I'm the only one who can love you"

She will believe him because that is the same thing she is saying to herself. The truth is we are all beautiful and we are worthy of real, soul-shaking love.
